Utensils required are a small bowl, a spoon and teacups.
Step1 Rinse the bowl and teacups
Rinse the bowl and teacups in hot water to clean off the dust and warm them up.
Step2 Fill In Loose Tea Leaves
Place proper amount of loose tea leaves into the bowl with a teaspoon, avoid using your hands.
Filling in exactly 3 grams of loose tea leaves for
every 120 cc / 4.05 oz of water. (To measure 3 grams of tea leaves, a digital pocket scale is highly recommended)
Step3 Rinse the tea leaves
Quickly rinse the tea leaves with hot water and discard the water (the first brew)
Step4 Infusion
Fill the bowl with appropriate amount of boiling water (approximately 3 grams of loose tea leaves for
every 120 cc / 4.05 oz of water).
Step5 Steeping
Let the tea steep exactly 5 minutes (we recommend 3 or 4 minutes for pouchong tea, oriental beauty oolong, black tea and green tea).
Step6 Ready to Drink
Spoon the tea to individual tea cups and the tea is now eady to be served.
Step7 Resteeping
Unlike teabags, loose tea leaves may be resteeped. Please extend the steeping time up for 1 minute longer than the previous brew.
Generally, the flavor of a tea can last for three to six brews or more.
